FOR TODAY
October 5th..
Outside my window...rainy, chilly, gray, chance of snow
I am thinking...about how much I'm going to miss the Haileys when they leave in a couple of short weeks
I am thankful for...the Lord putting such special people in our lives
From the learning rooms...studied about Ponce de Leon today, I've always loved to say that name, ever since I was little
From the kitchen...it is messy, I left the dishes not done from earlier!
I am wearing...my denim skirt and a white sweater
I am creating...a new stocking hat for Cooper to take on his hunting trip this weekend
I am going...to bed as soon as Calder will let me
I am reading...Acts
I am hoping...to see the sun tomorrow
I am hearing...quietness inside, raindrops outside
Around the house...clutter lying around, it was a lazy day here today
One of my favorite things...kissing my babies tiny lips
A few plans for the rest of the week: school, church, Jeff & Cooper gone Friday & Saturday to camp/antelope hunt. I plan to knit and sew!
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

I am not sure what I think about switching blogs. Most of my xanga friends have done it, since there are so many ads on xanga that are offensive. I'm just sooooo used to the way xanga works, change is HARD!! I'm sure I'll get it figured out at some point!

We are doing well here! School is going pretty good, although the children are not used to the schedule yet and sure like to complain about it. They don't have any idea how easy they have it compared to the public school children!! LOL! We are pretty much done by noon each day, with time in the afternoon for read alouds and hopefully going to start some type of fine arts study during that time too. Today is Thursday, piano lessons day, so we have a light day of school. We are using sonlight and have chosen to do the 4 day week, which frees us up for a lighter day like this. The homeschool group is also offering swimming lessons on Thursday afternoons. We haven't decided if that is something we will do yet or not. We usually avoid swimming in public, but Jeff does think it's important for them to learn to swim, so we might try at least one 6-week session.

Calder is doing great! I noticed last night he is starting to fill out a little bit. He certainly isn't what I'd call chubby yet, but at least his legs don't look like little chicken legs!! I will try to do some new pictures later today to share with you all!

I've ordered some new yarn just recently and am hoping to start very soon on a small size pair of longies for him. I got some Mosaic Moon yarn, which is absolutely BEAUTIFUL stuff!! Spendy too, but I was given some money as a baby gift and figured this was a good way to spend it! I also have another outfit cut out and ready to be sewn, maybe this afternoon I will get to that. But first I need to finish up Jeff's sweater!! I finished all the knitting last winter, but the sleeves ended up being way too long. I'm working on taking them back off, shortening them, and then re-attaching them!! I promised him last fall that he would have the sweater to wear when he went on his antelope hunting/camping trip this year! Well that day is coming up in 1 week, so it's time to get it done!! I hope he likes it!

Tomorrow night we are having ladies bible study at church. We haven't done anything for a ladies study since last spring and now that I'm the "pastor's wife" **yikes that still sounds crazy to me**, I thought we should do that! I ordered a series on Titus from Sword of the Lord to listen to. However, it won't be here by tomorrow night, so that means I need to come up with something for tomorrow night! Jeff has given me some good ideas, now I just need to take the time and sit down and do it!!

It looks like the children are finishing up their chores, so time to get on with their math lesson before we head to town. Have a blessed day!!
